Rescue Vet is raising money for Tuk Tuk Ambulance πŸš‘

In September 2024, Dr Scott volunteered at WeCare in Sri Lanka. Founded by Dr Janey Lowes, 10 years ago, this charity dedicates itself to the street dogs of Sri Lanka, providing them with urgent veterinary care.

In an unforgettable week, Dr Scott worked alongside the remarkable team, dealing with diseases he had never seen before in his career, facing new challenges and was so blown away by the hard work and dedication of Dr Janey’s team, he wanted to do something to help.

Dr Scott has started a fundraiser, in the hopes of raising Β£13,000 to fund a Tuk Tuk Ambulance for WeCare. He has seen first hand how this will save thousands of lives. No longer will the team have to face an agonising drive back to the animal hospital before they can start treating their patient, this will mean they can deliver vital medical support in the field. Having another ambulance will mean all the street dogs will get equal chance so Dr Scott is asking the Rescue Vet community to come together, and change the lives of the street dogs of Sri Lanka.
